Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, he developed a strong foundation in service, discipline, and community-focused care—principles that continue to guide his professional approach today.
Mr. Fowlkes earned both his Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Occupational Therapy from Wayne State University, completing his graduate training through an AOTA-accredited program. His education emphasized evidence-based practice, functional restoration, and patient-centered care across the lifespan.

His clinical expertise includes functional assessment, Activities of Daily Living (ADL) training, mobility and balance interventions, caregiver education, and discharge planning.
In late 2022, Mr. Fowlkes relocated to Texas, where he has continued to advance his practice within leading healthcare systems, including HCA Healthcare and University of Texas Medical Branch. In these settings, he has managed medically complex cases, contributed to interdisciplinary care teams, and supported safe and effective transitions from hospital to home.
Mr. Fowlkes is recognized for his ability to translate clinical findings into practical, real-world strategies that patients and families can implement in their daily lives. His work consistently focuses on improving functional outcomes, reducing fall risk, and promoting long-term independence.
